We’ve Raised The Bar Again…

As we reflect on the past year at Raise My House, we look back with a lot of pride, as 2023 has been a milestone year for us, marking not only our 13th year of trusted service but also achieving record-breaking accomplishments. This year, we raised over 180 houses and restumped more than 205 (just under 400 projects), showcasing our consistent efforts and our position as the largest raise and restump team in Brisbane.

Our success is largely attributed to our efficient work methods and our dedicated teams, each specialising in different aspects of the house raising process. Our approach allows us to train our team members specifically, ensuring top-notch delivery and service in every house raise and restumping project we undertake. We have four speciality raise teams at your service, including:

1) The Structural Steel Team

Led by our skilled foremen, Paddy and Mark, the Structural Steel Team plays a crucial role. They are responsible for applying the necessary structural steel to keep houses sturdy and level and their experience and expertise ensures the foundational strength of every project we undertake. The ‘steel up’ boys are pivotal to setting up each projects the right way before a house can be risen, ensuring we have the beams and structures in place for a successul raise.

2) The House Raisers

Under the leadership of Tyrone and Zac, our largest team – the House Raisers – work with wooden stacks asnd lifting gear day in and day out. They expertly raise and restump houses, using a series of stacks and jacks to lift the structures to the desired height and position, preparing them for their new ‘legs’. Their precision and skill are crucial in maintaining the integrity of each house.

3) The Hang and Pour Crew

Next comes our Hang and Pour Crew, overseen by Lewis. This team digs footing holes, cuts and places the new steel poles, and ensures everything is level for the builders and homeowners. They play a pivotal role in lowering the houses into the footings, a step crucial for the stability of the structure as well getting the house ready for our final weld off team.

4) The Welding Team

Finally, the Welding Team, headed by Carl, applies additional bracing and performs the essential final welding. Their work is vital in ensuring that everything is solid, secure, and ready for the builders to take over. The weld off lads seem themsevles as the finishing touches, often going over every minute details to ensure the house raise we hand over is completed to the highest level possible.

5) The Restuming Crews

And lets not forget about our hard working back breaking restumping crews, lead by our Foremam Beau, and Estimator, Scott. Restumping over 200 houses in a year is no mean feat, and this team works in sync to win jobs all over South East QLD and service them in a timely and professional manner.

The Backbone of Our Operations

Our on-ground operations are meticulously managed by our Project Manager, Tom Bourke, while Adam Seager, our Operations Manager, ensures smooth builder and homeowner relations and keeps our schedule on track amongst other duties. Our Senior Estimator, Clayton, is pivotal in pricing and coordinating jobs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in our operations. Whilst the Voice of Raise My House, Alycia, handles all our inbound and outbound calls, payroll, and accounts, is often the first point of contact for our clients. Her friendly and professional demeanor represents the essence of our customer service.
